I love photographing my couples in new places.  I always ask my clients where they would like to do their engagement sessions first...I never know what cool ideas they might come up with!  Tessa and Brandon opted to have their engagement session at the Houston Zoo and it turned out really cool.  They got married there last week as well, look out for those photos soon!

Thanks! I bought the dress at Anthropologie- I can't get enough of their dresses! And Akil definitely did a fantastic job. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Akil!

I know I've said this before but I love shooting engagement sessions.  It's such a great way to get to know your clients.  Ryann and Damen were so great to photograph...they're such a fun-loving couple.

I was contacted by Kayla Marie of Exquisitely Dunn a few weeks ago to photograph a proposal and surprise engagement party for Amber & Ronald.  Kayla and Ronald had been planning for weeks how he was going to surprise Amber on her birthday, and everything worked out perfectly.  They really went all out on this and it was amazing!

They had a limo pick Amber up that brought her to Hotel Zaza where Ronald rented a suite, decorated perfectly for her.  He also had a bottle of wine ready that he and Amber had been saving for about 5 years...for a special occasion ;)  There were just so many small details that went into this proposal that made it special.  Afterwards, we went to The Four Seasons downtown where their families had prepared a surprise engagement party for them.  Check em' out!

I met Shelly & Paul today for an engagement session knowing it had been raining all day.  We hoped it would pass but we all know how Houston weather is.  Still, sometimes plans change.  The unexpected happens.  And what you get turns out better than you had hoped for.

Good job man! The rain shot has that "feel" to it. Definitely made lemonade out of the lemons.
