I took Holly and A.J. to the Aquarium downtown for their engagement shoot this past weekend. Even though we had terrible weather for most of the day, we were able to get some cool photos between the rain.  I had fun talking sports with you guys, looking forward to the wedding in July!

Last week my cousin DeShawn came over with the new addition to her family!  Ashton really didn't want to cooperate with me on this shoot but I was able to get a few good ones when he wasn't drooling all over himself and falling over.  Hey, what are you gonna do right..he's like 3 months old!  Anyway, here are a few pics.

A few weeks ago I shot a Bridal Session at Uptown Park.  It's a pretty popular contemporary spot in Houston to do portraits, and fit perfectly into Leah's style!  She and her now husband Bory's (images coming soon) even invited me to have sushi at Uptown Sushi with them after the shoot...I get the most awesome clients!  Here's a sneak peak into her session.

Film: Watchmen
Cast: Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino
Director: Zack Snyder
Genre: Comic Book Adaption

Yesterday I went to the movies and caught an early showing of Watchmen!  It's probably a good thing that I saw this movie in the afternoon because its almost 3 hours long...be prepared.  Still, the movie was so good that I hardly noticed and I'll tell you why.

Zack Snyder pays tribute to the old mystery style films in his adaption of this 80's comic.  It's so much more than just a "comic book movie," it plays out more like a literary novel.  The storytelling is incredible and is filled with interesting, complex characters.  Literally every single hero in the film was flawed, which was cool to see for a change.  I was left thinking there was no character in this movie to root for and there and there were few fun surprises thrown in there as well.

This is definitely not a family movie, so parents be warned.  There were a few scenes in it that were pretty graphic though I felt that they did contribute to the plot.  Overall I liked the film a lot and I felt this was a good blockbuster to kick 09' off with!!  Go check it out!

Every once in a while I'll book a client over the phone without ever meeting them in person.  Don't get me wrong, I would love to meet all of my clients in person before I book them because building that relationship before the wedding is one of my favorite parts of the wedding process. I understand that everyone has different circumstances though, whether it be work conflicts or out-of-town clients, so we aren't always able to do that.

Well I had never met Jessica or Mark before their engagement session at Empire Cafe last week.  Not that it mattered...these two are seriously 2 cool 4 school.  Turns out that Jessica even went to high school with 2 of my aunts and they knew each other!  Such a small world.  They'll be tying the knot next May.

Prepare yourself...this is probably my longest Engagement Session post...EVER.  Enjoy!
